Is this not the cutest boho nursery!? I instantly fell in love with the natural glow, rattan, and neutral colors Willow’s room features. What a dream for a boho in-home newborn session and I know it’s just how mom and dad wanted. (See their romantic boho maternity session too!)

When doing any in-home session, it is super important for me to get an understanding of when the best light hits inside the house. More specifically, the key room(s) for a session like the nursery here. To do this, I usually ask if couples notice what side of the house the sun sets or rises on and which way the room & windows face. We typically need more light inside than you would think!

THEIR DREAMY NEWBORN SESSION

Swaddled newborns make for the best cozy photos! So of course we started with Willow all bundled up, which also helped soothe and relax her. With every newborn session, I take a very candid approach and let mom and dad interact with baby. I give direction, but mom and dad do all of the cuddling, rocking, and kissing. I absolutely love focusing on how they might actually spend time in the nursery together. Of course minus the diaper changes, crying, and long nights haha. These precious newborn days just don’t last long enough!
