A DREAMY COASTAL WEDDING DAY AT AMELIA GROVE IN NEW BERN, NORTH CAROLINA
When I first arrived at this wedding venue, I immediately felt like I was in a dreamy Nicholas Sparks book! The couple got ready at Amelia Grove in New Bern, North Carolina, which also served as the venue for their reception! I actually did Nicole and Seth’s engagement photoshoot as well which you can check out here! They are the most lovey-dovey couple! I love it when I get to photograph a couple’s engagement photos and their wedding, which is why I include an engagement session with all of my wedding packages! I loved how romantic and dreamy this venue was. The tables were impeccably decorated with such attention to detail, I was just obsessed. The strings of lights above, and mossy trees, with the sun streaming through the trees into the reception space! It was also incredibly peaceful to hear the water hitting the banks! The Plank’s Romantic & Coastal Amelia Grove Wedding
Nicole wore her mother’s wedding dress which she had been dreaming of wearing since she was a little girl. She had the sleeves altered to off the shoulder for her and she seriously looks like a royal princess in her beautiful dress! She ended up changing into a separate, short fun dress for her reception with a tiara and she looked STUNNING! I loved the way Nicole wore a dress that is traditional and has sentimental value to her, yet altered it to be exactly what she wanted! We just had to take more photos of her in her second dress during sunset to document her second look!
Everything about their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and they had so many unique aspects to their day. Nicole and Seth hired a live watercolor portrait painter to paint their wedding guests during the day which was amazing! Their cake wasn’t just delicious, but it was also very unique to them as it was a representation of their life and interests with each layer representing a different part!
