If I could do this engagement session all over again I would!! Alex and Scott are such cuties and the location was to die for! Adventure engagement sessions are my favorite because we get so much movement, gorgeous views, and breathtaking landscapes – and of course its an ADVENTURE! So fun!! We sure did that with these two! And, we even incorporated a fun outfit change for the flowy dress vibes! The setting of Hanging Rock in NC was perfect for the golden hour views, windy moments and fulfilling the adventures that they wanted! I loved being a part of their engagement and love story! Mountain Adventure Engagement Session In North Carolina

Yes, this location is gorgeous and closer than the other mountain locations in North Carolina (about 45 minutes from Greensboro/Winston-Salem)! But, be warned! Hanging Rock In NC is a hike that is not for the faint of heart because IT IS A HIKE!!! Think, lots of uphill and steps!! So, if you want this location as your engagement location then be prepared! You will definitely sweat if there’s warm weather. Even though Alex and Scott hike, this one still took them by surprise!

My suggestion is to bring your makeup bag, hiking shoes, and comfy clothes for the way up and change and freshen up when we get to the top! And, to give you an idea of the timing for this engagement session – we allotted an hour to make the hike. We talked about how wedding planning was going, food (of course haha), and took MANY breaks for water and catching our breath! All in all this spot is worth it because of the payoff! The gorgeous views with rocky cliffs! Absolutely stunning!
