Who is a fan of all things spooky and Halloween themed? This girl right here! So I’m sure you can imagine how fun this Halloween elopement styled shoot was to be a part of! Not to mention, I’ve been dreaming of doing a Halloween themed wedding. From the simple yet glamorous black dress Taylor wore, to the cute and spooky stationary, this couple achieved Halloween elegance with their themed elopement in Phoenix. Usually when people think of their wedding day, they think of dreamy decor and elegant or boho touches. But that doesn’t mean every wedding has to have that too. As a spooky lover myself, I am all for a tastefully spooky, moody ambiance! Think crunchy leaves, autumn tones, scary stories and haunted houses… bring it on! I absolutely love the dark, dramatic makeup and untraditional wedding attire. And you don’t have to go all black to make a statement! To top off their look, Taylor’s black fringe shawl was the perfect nod to Arizona fashion and witch’s draping sleeves. Now, you’re going to have to take a look at this spooky, fall inspired bouquet!
For this elopement shoot in Phoenix, Taylor had a beautiful gothic bouquet from Fersk Floral Artistry. The arrangement had the gorgeous colors of fall, with striking reds, pale green, and a whole lot of wheatgrass. The enchanted bouquet was fit for a witch’s wedding! I love that she strayed from the typical purple, orange, and black that we think of when we think Halloween-themed elopement. It was the perfect mix of fall and spooky goodness. Bringing your own personal style to your wedding is so essential!
The Riparian Preserve is a spellbinding sandy getaway that offered privacy, plenty of cacti, and desert landscapes that were a perfect complement to the spooky theme. You’d never know there was actually a lake nearby! Not only was this location perfect for their elopement, but it is also the perfect location for a relaxing stroll. The paths take you through all sorts of Arizona foliage. The backdrop of leafless trees and stark cactuses added to the earthy aesthetic Taylor and Ryan were hoping for with their Halloween elopement. Not to mention the saguaros standing tall against the desert brush and setting sun. Who knows what spells were cast once the moon came out… perhaps one for eternal love!
You can’t have Halloween without trick-or-treat. This sweet, simple skeleton cake by Souley Sweet Bakehouse was the perfect centerpiece for our sweetheart table, rounded out by more gorgeous gothic florals and a few fun skeletons. I mean, talk about a moody dream!
