WILD JOSHUA TREE COUPLE’S SESSION WITH OLIVIA & ROBBIE
I was so excited when Olivia and Robbie reached out about planning this shoot in California! I could NOT pass up the opportunity to photograph a couple’s session for a videographer and wedding photographer, especially one who loves adventure and elopements as much as I do! This wild Joshua Tree couple’s session is definitely one for the books!
Olivia and Robbie are so full of life, super fun to be around, and always smiling when they’re together. When I think of warm and cozy, comfort and contentment, and soulmates… I think of this day! As you can see, they were playing the whoooole time. Their connection is so strong, and I love their confidence in front of the camera! They made planning the session so easy with their rad, carefree style.

These two KNOW adventure. Their photo and video career take them all over Arizona and beyond on adventurous shoots and elopements! It was especially awesome to work with other creatives. They trusted me to capture this for them, knowing they had so many options as prominent creators themselves. This session was so energizing and enriching for me. It gave me a break to flex my creative muscle and have fun with a laid back, joyful, silly couple. I think my favorite part about working with them was how much Robbie makes Olivia laugh. You can practically hear the photos–so cute! She has the most radiant, warm smile and he brings that out in her so easily.
Lifestyle Couple’s Session
Before venturing out into the desert at Joshua Tree, we got to take some adorably cozy and playful portraits indoors. The airbnb they rented had the most adorable desert living room. If you want to check this place out, here is their instagram and airbnb listing! This is a great example of how you can take a really simple location (aka your airbnb) and make it work for your engagement session, or even your anniversary in your first home together. While I love traveling around to new sites, you don’t need an elaborate location to have a great session with lots of variety. The ultimate goal is to show off your personalities, story, and connection. We can do that just about anywhere!
Once we hit the outdoors, we got even sillier. Sitting, playing, and running through the desert was definitely a highlight of the trip.
