An Intimate & Adventurous Beach Engagement Session

Let me start off by giving you some background story into this intimate beach engagement session in Wilmington, NC. Mikayla and I have been “water” buddies for a few years now and I’m sure you’re wondering what the heck that means?? Well, in saying that we spent a lot of time by the water together over the course of our friendship. It started with the pool at your apartment complex, then the little lake at her next apartment, and then we also started a tubing tradition for 4th of July! And let me tell you, those have been quite the adventure haha. Speaking of water, Mikayla’s heart has always been at the beach, and so she decided to make the leap and move her life there alongside her now fiance, Travis. It’s only fitting that our water related activities now happen at the beach. Oh and by the way- Travis breathes surfing, so of course they belong at the beach together.
Mikayla and Travis love to take walks on the beach in the evening, looking for shells and especially shark teeth! It’s totally their thing, and just about everyone knows it since Travis always posts about any shark teeth they’ve found. Anyways, we all picked a weekend to come down to Wilmington and take some epic beach engagement photos of them! Last minute we found this awesome spot along the coast where the waves met rocks and knew that was where we HAD to go. And boy, did we have a blast standing in the crashing waves and running through the sand. You’ll just have to take a look at all of these for yourself!
