SNOWY WINTER ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS AT BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY IN NORTH CAROLINA

The best way to describe this day with Kirsten and Sam is dreamy AND cozy! These snowy winter engagement photos at Blue Ridge Parkway in Boone, North Carolina turned out to be such a fun day! The crazy part is that this session was supposed to be a fall mountain session with epic views. We thought this would be the case since it was in early November but, it ended up snowing instead! You never know what you are going to get with the mountains! So, a lot of the times you have to swing with the punches! The best part is that these two did not let the snow get in the way of their engagement session and I think we had even more fun with it! Come see how amazing the unexpected snow turned out and how beautiful it made their session!

Winter Engagement Photos In The Mountains Of North Carolina

As soon as I neared the mountains and saw all the clouds covering the tops, I knew we were in for an interesting (and fun) time together. But, I didn’t start to get worried until I entered the Blue Ridge Parkway and all I could see was white fuzzy FOG!! This isn’t the first time I’ve driven in fog on the parkway, so I had a good idea of what it would look like when we arrived (no views, low visibility and low light!!). What I did not expect was there to still be snow from earlier that morning! Que, the winter engagement photos that came to life!

Although we didn’t get those mountain views and colorful fall vibes, like we hoped, we did get something else magical…. a wintery wonderland!! And boy oh boy, it did not disappoint! It even started snowing a little bit while we were taking photos! It was such a fun experience even if it’s not what we were initially expecting! We totally embraced every moment! We used a Christmas themed blanket to keep warm, walked around with their pup and popped some much needed champagne together! It was so cute! And now, I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in October 2022 next.
