Chad and Chelsie’s wedding at the Farm at Oak Hill features a gorgeous juxtaposition of soft desert rose and deep bordeaux decor. They went all out on wild floral arrangements, a stunning sheath silhouette dress with boho lace overlay, and the sweetest surprises and personalized details.
I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anybody else. Chad has been my very best friend since the beginning and our love has only grown since. I thank God daily for sending him to me. He is the one I want to share everything with, the one I look forward to talking to everyday, he manages to put up with my crazy family, and the one who shows me unconditional love.
– sweet words from the bride
These images tell a story of best friends starting their lives together. You can tell this couple valued the presence of their close friends and family. One thing that struck me were some of the precious gifts and letters they exchanged. As you view the images below, take a peek at the heirloom quilt handmade for Chelsie, and the personalized photo cufflinks.
The Farm at Oak Hill was the perfect setting for this laid back couple. They had a traditional ceremony and kept their decor choices simple. But the floral arrangements were amazing! You’ll notice the cross, barn door entrance, and cake table are totally overflowing with gorgeous, wild bordeaux and rose arrangements. The couple chose not to see each other beforehand. So, when Chelsie and her dad walked down the aisle, this was Chad’s first look at her. He had such a sweet smile on his face! It’s no surprise. Chelsie looked stunning in her fitted sheath dress!
After the ceremony, the fun began for me! I whisked the bride and groom away to some field space nearby. I got them laughing, spinning and twirling, and just generally enjoying each other’s company. The semi-private moments I get to spend with my couples immediately after their vows are my favorite part of the day! In between the poses and moments of fun, it’s also an opportunity for the couple to talk and bask in the newlywed glow.
I absolutely love the portrait of Chelsie that we displayed at their reception, also at the Farm at Oak Hill. It was such a sweet surprise for the guests to be able to see that image in print so soon. This is another reason I love doing bridal sessions before the wedding day.
Chelsie and Chad entered their reception ready to dance! The dances with their parents were so sweet and full of laughter, and a few tears too. This couple was the perfect blend of sentimental and joyful! The rest of the reception was filled with laughter, silliness, and joyful celebration with friends and family. You can see through the images just how much fun everyone was having. I love when my couples can show their romantic side and goof off all in the same event.
We ended the night with a traditional sparkler exit. After they had said goodbye, they took off on a road trip! Chelsie and Chad spent their honeymoon exploring Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Greenbrier in WV. They wanted to sight see together, enjoy some fresh air, and get away from town to be in each other’s company.
I loved getting to know these two through their engagement session and wedding planning experience. Meeting their family and capturing their wedding day was icing on the cake! Please enjoy some of my favorite moments of their wedding day.
