I am sooo excited to share with you these dreamy, adventurous Asheville mountain elopement photos! We chose a location that offered a variety of scenery. You only look this good once in a while, so we’re definitely milking it for aaaalllll the photos! While we started out in a wooded area, we definitely wanted those signature mountain views that North Carolina is famous for.
If you love mountain views, be sure to pick a trail you’re familiar with or read up on what the hike entails. You either need to pick a relatively easy hike that won’t make you start sweating, or one that would allow you to do hair, makeup, and wardrobe changes after you’ve made it to your wedding destination. This means not relying on running water and hot tools for your hair and makeup prep. An easy hike is best. For this elopement, Zoey and Parker arrived to the location ready for photos! They brought a warm coat and a pair of cozy sweatpants to wear on the hike up with their wedding attire.
I got to capture Zoey and Parker and all their sweetness in this elopement session. I just love the intimacy and connection you can feel in these images! They have such a spark and electricity about them, and I loved exploring the outdoors together. But, I also like to have fun. So, as your scroll through these highlights you’ll see lots of dancing, goofing off, and a few excellent photos of this excited groom showing off his new wife’s bomb a** back side.
We concluded the day by popping some celebratory champagne while watching a gorgeous sunset! You really can’t beat these Asheville mountain views. I totally get why so many are flocking to Asheville to elope! Then, the two shared a coke–Zoey’s favorite drink. I swear, these images belong in a Coca-cola ad somewhere. If they don’t make “Share a Coke while you elope” a thing, they are missing an opportunity. And if they do, I want royalties!
I know lots of you engaged couples are considering a micro wedding or elopement in light of all that’s going on. Maybe you feel like sacrificing the wedding you imagined just won’t feel as special. I’m here to show you just how magical and romantic we can make your wedding day, whether you have just a few guests or even none at all! Your friends and family will still share in your joy whenever and however you choose to celebrate with them. Later is not lesser!
The stress level is waaaaay lower. You get to bask in the joy of the day, and not worry about the catering, the decor, or keeping everyone on time. Your focus gets to stay on the meaningful moments you’re experiencing with your new forever partner. While some couples express being so exhausted from the ceremonious details of their wedding day and obligation of spending time with each guest, you will get to experience all the bliss without the pressure and anxiety. And of course, you don’t have to deal with the changes and difficult decisions that come with planning a covid wedding.
There’s perks for me too! I get you all to myself for an extended, private elopement session to create images so freaking amazing that your friends and family will feel like they were there after all. The opportunity to bring your love to life without a tight timeline is SO refreshing. So please, if you are whisking your fiancé away to North Carolina to elope, call me!
Please enjoy my favorite images from this super intimate, boho-inspired elopement session. I hope it inspires you in your own wedding planning.
