KC and Jacob came all the way from Colorado to get married at this lakeside Italian-style mansion. These two are high school sweethearts and after graduation they moved to Colorado together. Now they get to spend their free days hiking and snowboarding among the wonderful Colorado mountains (when they are not attending concerts or watching Netflix, of course.) It was somewhere along the Rocky Mountains at sunset where Jacob got down on one knee and asked KC to spend the rest of her life with him, as husband and wife. Can you imagine the gorgeous backdrop!?
Arriving at the bridal suite, with a big smile on her face, KC told us all about the her dress’s train and cathedral length veil- she was so excited to put it all on. And we were just as excited to see her in all her bridal beauty!
The bride had one more request before getting into her dress- popping some champagne with her bridesmaids! This is something I’ve always wanted to capture, it brings so much joy to the bridal party and gives them a chance to celebrate amidst the getting ready craze.
Their facial expressions were THE. BEST. EVER.
And you know what? KC still had the cork in her hand!
You have probably noticed from the title that it was a rainy wedding day which can put a huge damper on outdoor ceremonies- but fortunately, Bella Collina always has a back up plan. It started raining shortly after I arrived and didn’t stop but for a short period between the ceremony and reception. However, that didn’t stop KC and Jacob from having a beautiful wedding!
Miraculously we had about 30 to 40 minutes of no rain for a few wedding party portraits, bride and groom photos, and the first dance! So you know we made the most of it and had some fun!

The rest of the night ensued lots of dancing…
… and I got to sneak KC and Jacob away for a few fun rainy photos!
Because of the rain, they decided to do an indoor exit as people cheered them off!
